In and Out of Ice/Glass:
Living with Chemical Dependency and Dissociative Identity Disorder
Rae found herself locked in a psychiatric unit, strapped to bed, with a twelve-year-old named Sarah raging inside her head. Sarah was no stranger, but the co-consciousness they shared was new and extremely strange. Not an alcoholic hallucination, Sarah was an old acquaintance. Her reappearance meant Rae was having a psychotic break.
In and Out of Ice/Glass is a true story of a woman's struggle with Dissociative Identity Disorder and chemical dependency. Rae struggles with her past and her selves, learning to love herself and to allow others to love her.
